Check for a TPM chip
Press Win + R, type tpm.msc and press Enter. “The TPM is ready for use” with specification version 2.0 means this PC can run Fatbox Player.
No TPM? It's often switched off in the BIOS — look for “PTT” on Intel or “fTPM” on AMD. Contact us if you're stuck.
If Windows shows a warning
While our new publisher certificate builds its reputation, Windows may say “Windows protected your PC” when you run the installer. Choose More info → Run anyway. The installer is signed by Fatbox; if in doubt, download it only from this page.
Why a TPM?
Fatbox Player keeps songs encrypted on disk. The keys that unlock them are sealed to this PC's TPM chip and can't be copied out — so a licence bought for your branch plays only at your branch, and copied files are useless anywhere else.
