About Fatbox

Music sets the mood of a venue. It should be simple to get right.

Most venues play music one of two ways: a staff member's phone, or a patchwork of streaming accounts that were never licensed for business use. Neither tells you what played, neither is fair to the artists, and neither sounds like your brand.

Fatbox is the alternative: a licensed catalogue, a scheduler that gives every daypart its own sound, and a player built for the counter PC — run from one console, whether you have one café or a chain of many branches.

What we believe

How we build Fatbox

Licensing comes first

A song reaches a venue only once its ISRC, label and licensor are on record. Every play is signed by the player and reported, so rights holders are paid for what is actually played.

The music is protected

Songs are encrypted from the moment they're processed and only ever decrypted in memory on an activated player, with keys sealed to that PC's TPM chip. A licence for one branch can't be copied to another.

Brands stay in control

Head office decides what plays and when, for every branch at once. Staff get the controls they need — pause and volume within limits — and nothing that breaks the brand.

It keeps playing

A shop can't go silent because the internet dropped. Players carry the next day of music and stay licensed for up to 72 hours offline.

For venues

One system, every branch

Cafés, restaurants, bars, retail stores, hotels and gyms use Fatbox to play the right music at the right time, without anyone at the branch having to think about it. Managers look after their own branches; head office sees them all.

For rights holders

Every play accounted for

Labels and distributors get music into venues through a system that reports each play with its ISRC, keeps their recordings encrypted end to end, and removes a track from every venue as soon as it's withdrawn.
